5 Secrets to Longer Lasting False Eyelashes
So, you’ve just bought your pair of false eyelashes and can't wait to try them on? False lashes are the perfect finishing touch to any makeup look, making your lashes long and full, and your eyes stand out from the crowd. A common question we hear is "How can I make sure they won't start lifting and falling off?" We know that getting the most out of the investment in your false eyelashes is top priority, so we’re sharing our top tips to make sure your lashes stay on your eyes as long as you need them to.
1) Apply first
If you do choose to wear mascara, make sure to apply it on your natural eyelashes. Once the mascara has completely dried, then apply your false lashes. However, we recommend staying away from added products so your lashes aren't weighed weigh down or there aren't issues with the sticking ability of the false eyelashes.
Same goes for lashes when you are wearing eye makeup. It's best to put on any eye shadow before falsies, THEN apply your favorite eyeliner once your lashes are securely set on your lids.
2) Drier glue = longer stick
The key to applying false lashes and making them stick is all in the timing. After adding the glue to your lash line, wait about 40-50 seconds before applying your lashes to your eyelid. This wait allows for the glue to become tackier, and for the lash application to stick better and last longer.
Make sure that your eye lash glue stays sticky br regularly checking that your glue is not old and dried out. An easy way to do this to cap your glue tight each time before storing.
3) Don’t rub your eyes; comb them instead
Rubbing your eyes is a huge culprit for short lasting false eyelashes. A great way to combat this is by using an eyelash comb to keep them clump-free. The less you touch, the longer they will stay.
Another way to prevent irritation is through proper application from jump. Take your time, and follow our first two steps closely.
4) Create your own look
As Lydia has shared with us before, false eyelashes can be customized exactly to fit your preference. If you want a more natural look, cut them in half and apply them to the outside edges of your eyelids.
If you’re getting ready for a night out and want a standout look, layer two on top of each other. If you do layer the falsies, just make sure to adhere them together and let them dry BEFORE applying to your eyelid.
5) Quality outshines all
